It is hard to imagine our life without individual mobility. We take for granted our ability to freely and quickly travel even longer distances, and we would not want to do without.
Our mobility in its present form, however, cannot be separated from the use of fossil fuels. Their sources, however, are limited, utilizing them burdens our immediate environment and from all we know today has a very negative long-term effect on the earth’s climate as we know it. Furthermore, the greatly uneven regional distribution of our energy reserves over the decades has repeatedly been contributing to regional conflicts.
Contributing to the solution for these problems is the goal of SUSTAMO. With very fuel-efficient vehicles we aim to reduce the energy required for each mile travelled. By utilizing new propulsion systems we want to replace fossil fuels. Through the development of fuels generated from renewable energies we want to make wind and solar energy available for powering individual mobility.
